Introductie
For an important project within the public domain, we are looking for a knowledgeable and independent Data Protection Officer ( DPO) to strengthen privacy governance and ensure compliance with relevant data protection legislation.

The client is a respected institution operating in a complex and highly regulated environment. With a strong focus on public value, data transparency, and responsible information handling, they are seeking a DPO who can help safeguard personal data, advise on legal obligations, and guide internal stakeholders in embedding privacy into organisational culture and operations.
Functie
As the appointed DPO, you will be the subject matter expert and compliance lead on privacy matters. You will ensure that the organisation processes personal data in accordance with the GDPR and advise various departments. Monitor internal compliance and conducting privacy risk assessments and advise on privacy by designing new initiatives or systems.
Functie-eisen
- At least 3–5 years of demonstrable experience in privacy, compliance, or legal advisory roles;
- Strong working knowledge of the GDPR and relevant best practices in data protection;
- Able to balance legal with practical, actionable guidance;
- Experience advising various stakeholders and handling complex privacy cases;
- Fluency in Dutch is strongly preferred;
- Experience with tools such as OneTrust , PrivacyPerfect , or equivalents is a plus;
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a sensitive and visible role.
Aanbod
- 12-month assignment;
